“I thought I was low thyroid,” says Mark Starr, MD. “I was a pain doctor, an MD, and my concentration was going, I was tired, my skin was dry, my muscles ached, I was cold intolerant—the probem runs in my family. An yet, at my university where I trained, my blood tests were normal, and the endocrinologist assured me that [my thyroid was fine, and that] I was working too hard.” Here is a short audio clip of Dr. Starr talking about this in a speech he gave at a 2007 Orthomolecular Conference.
