    PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS

Sarah Silverman was prescribed 16 Xanax per day when she was 14-years-old

“When you were 14, you took up to sixteen (16) Xanax per day,” Bill Maher said to comedian, Sarah Silverman, commenting on her new book about her life. (Xanax (alprazolam) is an anti-anxiety drug.)

“By a doctor… a doctor prescribed it,” Sarah replied.

    “I don’t remember feeling anything.”

“I can’t believe… that… you just… back then, but probably still now, that people don’t question doctors at all...,” Sarah continued.

“This doctor kept upping my dose and upping my dose until I was taking four (4) Xanax, four (4) times per day… 16 Xanax a day.”

“I remember, I kept the empty bottles.”

    NATURAL TREATMENTS

Cure for alcoholism, anxiety & depression, Joan Mathews Larson - 2 of 3 - Talk Therapy Doesn’t Work

Drug and alcohol problems are the result of biochemical glitches. They are not caused by a lack of will power and cannot be solved with talk therapy. Prescription drugs such as Prozac cannot correct these problems either. I believe the exact same thing is true for anxiety and depression.

In this audio clip, you will hear Dr. Julian Whitaker describe the research of American biochemist, Dr. Roger Williams.

He found that “alcoholic” rats could be cured of their desire for alcohol with large doses of nutrients.

You will then hear Dr. Whitaker interview Joan Mathews Larson, PhD whose son committed suicide about 30 years ago after returning from talk therapy.

Dr. Larson committed her life to finding a better way, and came across the research of Dr. Roger Williams.

    NATURAL TREATMENTS

Cure for alcoholism, anxiety & depression, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD - 3 of 3 - You must do lab tests

In this 3rd part of Dr. Julian Whitaker’s interview with Joan Mathews Larson, PhD, she notes that drugs are not the answer for alcohol and drug problems, nor for the treatment of anxiety and depression.

Dr. Larson notes that she is bewildered how doctors can believe that drugs can solve the problem rather than using the natural chemicals that we are made of.

    PSYCHIATRIC DRUG WITHDRAWAL

Drug company salesman notes that all psychiatric drugs can cause withdrawal symptoms

Gwen Olsen, author of “Confessions of an RX Drug Pusher”, who worked as a sales representative for the drug companies for 15 years calling on doctors, notes that all psychiatric drugs can cause withdrawal symptoms which are often worse than the initial condition.

Traditional psychiatrists will often tell you that that you are having “rebound anxiety” or “rebound depression” or “rebound psychosis”, and that you need to take these drugs forever and will never be normal without them, but this is not true Gwen notes.

The withdrawal, according to Gwen, is your body trying to detoxify from these drugs.

    PSYCHIATRIC DRUG WITHDRAWAL

Drug company salesman notes to NEVER stop a psychiatric drugs on your own

Gwen Olsen, author of “Confessions of an RX Drug Pusher”, who worked as a sales representative for the drug companies for 15 years calling on doctors, states that you should NEVER stop a psychiatric drug on your own.

You should ALWAYS be supervised by a health care professional because stopping these drugs will often cause withdrawal symptoms such as “rebound anxiety” or “rebound depression” or “rebound psychosis”.

    PSYCHIATRIC DRUG WITHDRAWAL

Drug company salesman suggests having alternative doctor to help withdraw from psychiatric drugs

Gwen Olsen, author of “Confessions of an RX Drug Pusher”, who worked as a sales representative for the drug companies for 15 years calling on doctors, suggests looking for an alternative doctor or a doctor who is involved in “Integrative Care” to supervise withdrawal of psychiatric drugs.

She says that traditional psychiatrists are opposed to this because many psychiatrists have a vested interest in giving patients drugs.

    Food allergies can cause:
    • depression

Evening Primrose Oil is a powerful antidepressant for some, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD

Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) found in Evening Primrose Oil is converted in the body into a powerful antidepressant called Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) as noted in this video of a speech given by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD.

She notes that even though Borage Oil seems like a cheaper source of GLA, Evening Primrose Oil is much better than Borage Oil because it is taken up by the brain much better than Borage Oil.

Dr. Larson gives a “loading dose” of one capsule with each meal in other words, 3 capsules per day and then backs off to 1-2 capsules per day according to an email I got from her office.

I’ve been taking Evening Primrose Oil for the past few months and I do like the effects.

I started off with 3 capsules per day each containing 1300 mg of Evening Primrose Oil.

I noticed lots of energy immediately.

But then after several days I felt a little anxious and had a little trouble sleeping, so I stopped for a couple days, then started with 1 capsule.

And after a couple of weeks, I increased it to 2 capsules per day and I feel great.

My muscles also feel better when I exercise.

    ANXIETY / DEPRESSION

Joan Mathews Larson, PhD: Vitamin B3 deficiency can cause anxiety, fatigue, depression

For 30 years, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD has been treating addiction, anxiety and depression with natural supplements in order to correct the underlying biochemical problems which cause these conditions.

In this video clip, she tells how a deficiency of vitamin B3, niacinamide, can cause anxiety depression and fatigue.

She also notes that vitamin B3 can eliminate a kind of alcohol psychosis that causes paranoia and feeling quarrelsome.

Note: the doses of vitamin B3 used for this are several thousand milligrams, which is a much higher dose than is found in multiple vitamins.

Dr. Larson also points out that anti-anxiety medicines such as Valium, Xanax, Ativan, and Librium attach to the same anti-anxiety receptors in the brain as vitamin B3.

She also notes that when the patent for Valium ran out, the drug company, Hoffman LaRoche, admitted that they got the formula for Valium by trying to copy the chemical structure of vitamin B3.

    Imagine that.
