High-protein diets reduce bone loss

Bone loss associated with fat loss
PATIENTS ON A LOW FAT AD LIB DIET lost 1.4% of bone mass along with their 14.1 lbs of weight loss. Patients losing weight with moderate aerobic exercise (-5.7 lbs) and those in the control group whose weight did not change had no loss of bone mass.
